Nippon Paints EBO - From Design to Store Handover, A Complete Retail Transformation
Retail Visibility
Challenge
Creating the Nippon Paints Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) in Pali was more than fabricating and installing branding elements. The brief was to transform an existing retail space into a complete, customer-ready store that matched the approved 3D vision and delivered a strong brand presence, while managing a set of real-world challenges along the way.
- Evolving Requirements Additional requirements emerged post-fabrication, requiring quick adaptations.
- Damaged Units Units were damaged during unloading, requiring urgent re-fabrication.
- Last-Mile Logistics Delayed materials threatened to impact final store readiness.
- Technical Failure A last-minute PCB failure disrupted the conceptual wall’s lighting sequence.
- Design to Reality Translating the 3D vision into reality required precise multi-team coordination and site adaptation.
Solution
Multiplier Brand Solutions took complete end-to-end ownership of EBO transformation. The project was managed as one continuous journey rather than a set of disconnected tasks:
- RECCE Understanding the actual site, measurements and existing conditions.
- LAYOUT Planning the store layout according to the available space and retail requirements.
- 3D DESIGN Creating a realistic visual representation of the proposed Nippon Paints EBO.
- FABRICATION Converting the approved design into physical retail elements, fixtures and branding.
- FAÇADE SIGNAGE Creating strong exterior visibility and establishing the Nippon Paints brand presence.
- LOGISTICS Coordinating movement of fabricated elements and critical materials to the site.
- INSTALLATION Executing the approved concept on ground.
- RECTIFICATION Addressing unexpected damage, site-level issues and last-minute requirements.
- FINAL HANDOVER Ensuring the store looked complete, cohesive and aligned with the intended brand experience.
The objective was to ensure the final store looked exactly as it was envisioned, which meant taking ownership when requirements changed, rectifying damaged units, actively managing logistics delays, and resolving last-minute technical challenges.
The store’s conceptual wall was designed to walk customers through the Nippon Paints promise in five simple steps, from home assessment to a finished, waterproof surface. Its lighting was PCB-controlled, one segment ran on an 8-second timed on/off cycle, while another used a sequential chase effect, lighting each product highlight individually before moving to the next. When this PCB failed just before completion, the team treated it as a priority and develop Arduino advance circuit to resolve the issue in time for handover, so this key experiential element made it into the finished store exactly as planned.
Results
Despite multiple challenges during fabrication, logistics and final installation, the Nippon Paints EBO was successfully completed.
- Complete transformation of the existing space into a Nippon Paints EBO.
- Strong façade signage and exterior brand presence.
- Store layout developed to suit actual site conditions.
- 3D design translated faithfully into a physical retail environment.
- Complete fabrication and installation of all branding and retail elements.
- Damaged fabricated units rectified without compromising the final finish.
- Additional site-level requirements accommodated wherever critical to the final experience.
- Last-mile logistics challenges managed to avoid visible gaps at completion.
- The conceptual wall's timed lighting sequences completed and functioning at handover, despite the last-minute PCB failure.
- Final store delivered as a complete and cohesive Nippon Paints brand environment.
We didn’t just fabricate the elements; we managed the transformation. We didn’t just follow the design; we made it work on the ground. And we didn’t stop at installation; we delivered the complete brand experience.
Impact
The Pali EBO demonstrates Multiplier Brand Solutions’ ability to take a retail transformation from an idea on paper to a fully executed, customer-facing brand environment. The value delivered was not limited to individual branding elements; it brought together design, fabrication, logistics, project management and execution to create one cohesive Nippon Paints retail experience.
The project was never considered complete simply because fabrication and installation were finished. At every stage the benchmark was the same: does the store look and feel complete? When units were damaged, they were rectified. When requirements changed, critical elements were accommodated. When materials were delayed, installation priorities were reworked. When the conceptual wall’s PCB failed, it was resolved before handover. The focus stayed, throughout, on the customer standing in that store on opening day.
